It's a...PIE!

With the news that there is a NEW hug on the way for both myself and a girlfriend of mine, we decided to host a raffle to allow people to guess "PINK or BLUE" to raise money for the March of Dimes. The winner would receive a goody basket of wine and dessert. I was feeling extra "Suzie homemaker" that particular day, so I decided that a apple pie would be perfect. Using my mom's advice of incorporating at least three different types of apples, I just hope it is as delicious as it looked!

P.S. It's a GIRL for me and a BOY for my friend! Coming in August 2011!

Hello again

SO, my blogging efforts have waned. And really, it's because I have such a great chef at home in the form of a loving husband. I DO have a great picture to share, though. It's my homemade banana cinnamon bread. This stuff was great. Beyond great.

Nope, I didn't write down the recipe, so it's a once-in-a-lifetime treat. But I have more bananas on the counter and in the freezer, so I'll try round two soon.

PS. How cute it my HUG? This is him at the bakery discovering the doggie treats. And yes, he moved his chair to the display case just to check things out!
